The Ad-Hoc Committee to Improve Our School Infrastructure was formed at the Oceanport Board of Education Meeting on May 25, 2016. The Committee was formed under the direction of the Oceanport Board of Education at the authority of Mr. William McVitty, President, Oceanport Board of Education.
The Ad-Hoc Committee was renewed by the Oceanport Board of Education again on January 5th, 2017 to continue its work during the 2017 calendar year.
The Oceanport Board of Education choose to form this Committee to address the growing need to improve the Oceanport School District’s physical infrastructure.
The idea behind this Ad-Hoc Committee was to create a community oriented group that will represent all aspects of the communities of Oceanport and Sea Bright. This Committee, with the help and engagement of those communities, teachers, students, parents, administration, staff, Board of Education, and NJ State Board of Education, will evaluate various options to address the district’s physical infrastructure.
The Committee will evaluate both short-term and long-term needs, which after dialog and review, will present its recommendation to the Oceanport Board of Education for consideration.
